About Cloudopstools
A Hong Kong practice built around one discipline — verifying vendor invoices so payment decisions rest on evidence, not habit.
Origin
Cloudopstools started when several finance professionals in Admiralty kept seeing the same pattern: year-end auditors flagged AP issues that could have been caught earlier, during ordinary payment cycles. The practice was formed to offer a narrower, earlier intervention — vendor invoice verification as a standing professional service, not a once-a-year scramble.
What we believe
Invoices are not just paperwork. They are claims on cash. Every claim should be able to point to a purchase order, a receipt of goods or services, a contracted rate, or a documented exception approved by someone with authority. When that chain breaks, money leaves for the wrong reason.
How we work
We keep engagements deliberately specific. You name a period, a vendor set, or a payment run. We test against agreed criteria, write down exceptions in plain language, and brief your finance lead. We do not sell vague “transformation” programmes or sit inside your accounts payable queue as temporary clerks.
People
Our reviewers come from Hong Kong audit, commercial finance, and shared-service AP backgrounds. Assignments are staffed so that someone who understands local trading paperwork — bilingual invoices, freight addenda, and Hong Kong–China supplier packs — owns the exception list end to end.
Location
We are based at Admiralty Centre Tower 1, 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty, Hong Kong, within reach of many corporate finance offices. On-site work across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories is arranged when original documents cannot leave the premises.
Values in practice
- Evidence over assumption — if support is missing, we say so.
- Proportionate testing — high-value and high-risk invoices get more attention than trivial stationery claims.
- Respect for your calendar — payment-run and close-period work is scheduled with cut-off dates in mind.
- Clear ownership — one engagement lead, one report, one briefing.
